LastRetry vs Slicker
Slicker is an AI payment recovery platform for mid-market and enterprise, priced on proven lift by quote. LastRetry publishes its rate and is self-serve for SaaS on Stripe.
| LastRetry | Slicker | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | 10% of recovered revenue up to $50K MRR, 7% to $250K, 5% to $500K. Nothing if nothing is recovered. | Fee based on proven lift, quoted on a call. No fixed tiers, no upfront costs, no minimum commitment; better rates at higher volume. |
| Getting started | Self-serve: connect Stripe and go. | Talk to sales; a 15–20 minute call for a quote. |
| Who it's for | SaaS on Stripe, $10K–500K MRR. | Mid-market and enterprise; their estimator runs from $5M annual revenue. |
| Billing platforms | Stripe | Stripe Billing, Chargebee, Recurly, Zuora, Recharge, Piano and in-house billing, across gateways such as Braintree, Adyen and Checkout.com. |
| Retries | Planned per decline reason: payday timing for insufficient funds, back-off for soft declines, no retries for expired, lost or stolen cards. | Machine-learning models deciding whether, when and how much to retry, using network messages, error codes and behaviour. |
| Emails | Sent in your name, written per decline reason; A/B tests against your own copy; AI drafts you approve. | Emails from your domain, tailored to the failure reason, with a button to your own payment update page. |
| SMS | Optional for high-value customers, with a card update link. $0.10 per text. | No built-in SMS; their docs suggest triggering your own from an email webhook. |
| Card update page | Stripe-hosted card page; the new card becomes the default and the invoice is charged at once. | Links go to your own payment page. |
| Testing | A/B tests on emails and retry schedules; verdict after 30 closed cases per version. | AABB lift testing against your current setup; you don't pay if they don't outperform. |

What the pricing difference means
Both are performance-priced. Slicker bases its fee on the lift it proves in A/B tests and quotes it on a call; no percentage is published. LastRetry charges a published 10%, 7% or 5% of what it recovers.
